Dear LIS Professionals, It is a shocking news about the sad demise of Prof A.K. Bardol. Immediately after completing MLIS he joined as a Lecturer in DLIS, Karnatak University. He was a knowledgeable and friendly teacher to us. Later he moved to Mangalore University. He served as Professor and Chairman at DLIS. He guided many for PhD. I am extremely saddened to hear sudden passing away Prof Ashok K Bardol. We were class fellows in B Lib SC course at KUD during 1971-72. I heard from his students that he was a wonderful teacher and guided many students for their Ph D degree. He retired from University of Mangalore. We lost one excellent library professional and I lost one good friend. I wish God grant enough strength to his family to bear this great loss. May his soul rest in peace.
