Dear Colleagues I am very touched to know about this bit of news that Dr. Vyasamoorthy has brought to our notice. It is commendable, and I thank you for letting us know this. I would like to make a "Human request", based on something an uncle taught me, when I was in college years ago. He was a scientist working on the Disease - leprosy - and requested people not to call sufferers "Lepers", but Leprosy patients As Library and Information Professionals - can we spread this "human" bit of information to journalists and others, so that Leprosy patients get the dignity they deserve?
