Information literacy and the role librarians can play is an another dimension to the overall knowledge base, then. When the overall analog media is digital, it is this aspect of literacy, along with a few others, mostly overlooked, that will be required to be addressed emphatically, if we as a profession and professionals are to sustain ourselves in the future. Only some do not have that as a primary requirement. For a person with 15-20 years work ex and who wants to do PHD it is indeed very difficult to appear for the NET SET exams. hence while reconsidering the NET SET exams this aspect may be given some consideration.
