** Apologies for cross-posting Dear Colleagues Already there is lot of injustice with the cadre of Librarians especially Deputy Librarians in the UGC Notification, Dated 30/06/2010. Now the Ministry of HRD has issued a new Notification, dated 26/08/2010 which denies placement in the PB 4 after 3 years. The Deputy Librarians will now be placed in the PB4 after 5 years. This will be applicable to all the Universities and Centrally Funded Institutions including IITs, etc. I request all the professional colleagues to rise on this occasion and write to the MHRD regarding this new anomaly at the earliest. The LIS bodies are also requested to take up the matter at association levels. The recent UGC notification and this notifications has entirely different version. It says Similarly,entry of Rs. 23890 in PB-3 with academic grade pay of Rs. 8000 will also apply to directly recruited Deputy Librarians and Deputy Directors of physical Education, who will move to PB-4 with academic grade pay of Rs. 9000 after completion of 5 years in that grade.
