DST-Centre for Policy Research (CPR), Centre for Society and Policy, IISc & J.R.D. Tata Memorial Library, IISc organised an online event to observe and celebrate the International Open Access Week 2021 on 29th Oct 2021 at 7.30 pm IST. The event featured the following three talks. "Open by Default and Equitable by Design: The Future of the Open Access Movement" by Heather Joseph, Executive Director, Scholarly Publishing and Academic Resources Coalition (SPARC) , Washington DC. "Opening Sciences from Below" by Leslie Chan, Professor, University of Toronto, Scarborough, Canada This fifth in series OA Week event at IISc is also special, since it was held in honour of Prof. Subbiah Arunachalam, a champion of the open access movement in India, who turned 80 in September 2021.
