Dear All,<br><br>I have been looking for some documents that are published by NCERT
and/or the respective State counterparts(SCERT) and need your help in locating them..<br><br>I need DISTRICT LEVEL DATA from the 5th (1986-87) ALL
INDIA EDUCATIONAL
SURVEY (AIES). NCERT usually comes out with a report after each of
their surveys with lists the India wide and state level details from
the survey. However, we need district level data which they do not
publish formally. I have come to know from fellow researchers at MIT,
who have used the data before, and also from faculty members affiliated with NCERT, that the
NCERT has the separate state volumes for the different
states/UTs of India and the district data for each state can be
obtained from those volumes. Some of the states might not be present at
the NCERT library. They might be in the Central Secretariat library,
the library of the Planning commission or other government libraries in Delhi. Most probably they will be with
the libraries of the directorate of education of the relevant state since they are the
ones who are linked with collecting and collating the data. I need
those data for all
the districts of India, and most importantly for West Bengal and
Karnataka.
