         Application of IT for LIS, Development of web based
 information systems and databases, Information Gateways and Portals, Digitization
 technologies and Metadata Harvesting

Desirable:
1. ADIS from DRTC/ISI OR Knowledgement Management/ Course of
 NCSI/IISc
2. Science Degree
3. Experience of handling automated information services

Programming skills: C, PERL, JSP and CGI Programming Working knowledge
of RDBMS like MySQL and ORACLE. Web Technologies: Database connectivity,
Scripting languages like PHP, PHYTHON and XML.  Operating Systems: Unix/Linux,
Windows.
