Dear Friends, Ours was the first library in Karnataka and Second in our country after IUCCA, Pune to install EAS Security System in Libraries. US consulate had this for other purpose and not for its library. My experience: 1. Not very reliable 2. Return on Investment not good 3. Service is poor. We bought it from Monitor Electronics, Pune but the product was imported. They did not have office in Bangalore and every time we had to bear their conveyence charge plus repair charge whcih worked out to be too expensive in the long run. 4.Service was not immediate because they had to come from Pune. 5. Product acts only as deterrant for stealing, but total loss cannot be prevented. 6. Too many false alarms. 7. Adds only value but not a must buy. 8. You can buy it if you have too much finance to spend, or to show off to others and say you have a very modern library. 9. Newer versions may be slightly bettter. 10.
