ABOUT THE BOOK
In view of the sudden growth of management education institutions in
public as well as private sector, the present volume has been developed to
share information and ideas for the development of libraries and business
librarianship. A library is considered to be at the heart of an academic
institution and plays a crucial role in the overall improvement of quality
of study, teaching and learning. The book aims to address issues
pertaining to challenges in business librarianship, knowledge management,
resource sharing and networking, information infrastructure and
information technology deployment in libraries, digital libraries,
marketing of library services, total quality management and user
information needs and user issues.
Holistic in approach and lucid in language, the objective of the book is
to debate and discuss a plethora of issues that concern the library
professionals especially in the light of the information technology boom.
Through a culmination of 24 papers, it has been our endeavour to voice the
experience and knowledge of academicians and professionals from management
