Newspaper Conference 2010 at IGNCA, New Delhi in India during 26th February
to 28th February, 2010 on theme "Digital
Preservation and Access to news and views".
The
Indira Gandhi National Centre
for the Arts
(IGNCA) was established in 1987 as an autonomous institution under the Ministry
of Culture, as a centre for research, academic pursuit and dissemination in the
field of the arts. The Arts' encompass a wide range of subjects - from
archaeology and anthropology to the visual and performing arts, enveloping them
in a complementary and non-demarcated vision.
IFLA
(The International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) is the
leading international body representing the interests of library and information
services and their users. It is the global voice of the library and information
profession.
About
300 delegates from all over the world are expected to attend this event. On this
occasion an exhibition is also planned. We are also trying to involve the
editors and other media persons to share their views at the conference.
A
very good response has been received to the call for papers to above conference.
The publication committee has selected 33 papers including 12 from outside India
for presentation at the above conference. 10 papers have been selected for
Poster Session. Besides this 15-16 eminent professions both from newspaper
industry and library filed as invited speakers / panelists will also be speaking
at the conference.

Library and Information Services in your organization. Participation of Media
Persons interested in storage, retrieval and preservation of news and views are also

Registration fee is non-refundable. Substitution in nomination is acceptable only up to 15th February 2010.
Registration fee does not include accommodation and transportation.

Discount
Additional delegate(s) from the same organization qualifies for a 10% discount.
Full time student (Ph.D and Masters) and accompanying person qualify for 20% discount.
No charges for accompanied person (husband / wife)
for participation in conference, cultural events etc. No conference kit will
