Dear Friends<br><br>After I sent in the request for information on where to donate rare Tamil books &amp; manuscripts I received a large number of messages (as many as thirty) (mostly to my mail Id) and many are still coming. I think I have got enough responses.<br>
<br>Institutions recommended include: <br>
<br>Sarasvati Mahal Library Tanjore Tamilnadu<br>National Library Kolkatta<br>Indira Gandhi National center for arts, delhi<br>National Mission for Manuscripts, Delhi<br>Tamil University, Tanjore, Tamilnadu<br>Center Institute of Classical Tamil, Chennai<br>
and a few others<br><br>I could also get in touch with Sri Ramachandra Budhial of WIPRO who has managed massive<br>digitization projects for govt of Tamilnadu and elsewhere. He has won a citation from Sri Abdul Kalam for his contribution using a mobile digitisation van equipped with complete set of ultra modern equipments specially for manuscripts / palm leaves digitization.<br>
<br>In some cases I have individually acknowledged. To others I am doing through this mail. I&nbsp; would prepare a summary of responses for the benefit of all a little later.<br><br>Lis-forum is a great place to look for help.<br>
