The Regional Library provides comprehensive and up-to-date information about Germany. Responsibilities: Ø Provide reference services about Germany Ø Catalogue and classify the library collection Ø Participate in collection development Ø Develop marketing strategies and outreach programmes to promote library resources and services Ø Develop interactive Web 2.0 and ICT-based services Ø Prepare library newsletter and other promotional material Ø Maintain the library website Requirements: Ø Master's degree from an accredited library school Ø Minimum two years of professional experience Ø Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English Ø Good knowledge of spoken and written German language and culture an advantage Ø Competence in using new technology as a research tool Ø Profound knowledge of computer applications Ø Initiative, flexibility and ability to work in a team environment Ø Strong commitment to public service Remuneration in accordance with the MMB salary scheme and in commensuration with qualifications and experience.
