Dear Professional Colleagues, Few colleagues have sought clarification on birth date of Dr. S.R. Ranganathan as the day is being celebrated on different dates. He was born on 9th August 1892 at Shiyali, Tamil Nadu. However in the official records like school it has been mentioned as 12th August. This being the case many associations / institutions celebrate the day on any of these dates. One can also celebrate the day between 9 - 12th as has been practiced by many associations in the country.
