We are glad to inform you that 55th Annual Conference of Indian Library association will be held at Birla Institute of Management Technology, Greater Noida from 21st to 24th January, 2010 in association with “Ranganathan Society for Social Welfare and Library Development” and Jointly organised by BIMTECH and ILA.
Establish in 1988, The fully residential campus of Birla Institute of Management Technology (BIMTECH) located in National Capital Region, provides a highly conducive academic environment, interaction with hard working and industry-academia mix professors, exposure to the international universities and companies, and a ready profile of strong alumni base spread through out the world. BIMTECH boasts of it’s library facility as a leader in it’s own class.
The theme of the conference will be “Library and Information Science in the Digital Era”
Without restricting itself, this conference would like to invite participants to reflect upon and present experiences, research and theories about the Formation, Organisation, Management, Updation, Mechanisation, Automation and Modernisation of libraries. This call for papers, based on variations on four themes, would like to ask contributors to link their paper to the relation between the above seven parameters. The aim is to better understand these things in the contemporary world, but also in their history; to examine the relationship between conventional publishing and digital publishing. The conference will maintain its proceedings of high standard and hence would evaluate each and every paper in accordance with the international standards.
