Respected Sir, I would like to pay your attention for the eligibility of Information Scientist post advertised by NEHU University. Sir i simply wanted to say their is a difference in Eligibility requirements in BHU and NEHU university although both are Central University. In my opinion the person who is having (PGDCA+MLIB) and few years experience could able to do all the ICT based works related to Library.Since i have working experience in reach and big libraries like IITK and BHU i can give the above statement. Kindly think over it for the benefits of LIS professionals and to make LIS Professionals strong enough to handle the libraries without computer professionals. All Respected concerned persons With a great panic i am forwarding this mail to u. recently BHU (central university) advertised for the post of information scientist with a qualification from library science and computer science. maharshi dayanand university rohtak also advertise for the same post for which educational qualification was MLISc and MCA.
The contradiction is that NEHU, shillong (central university) also advertised for the same post but the dilema is that they require the qualification from computer science only i,e. MCA or Btech. The question which i want raise through this forum is that why such ambiguity is their in the educational qualification for the post, all though both are central university. moreover such act demoralise the spirit of young library professional in india. kindly help in this matter which will help in the growth of our profession . the Official advertisment of all the aforsaid university is enclosed for your kind action.
