TNTDPC is embarking on an initiative to bring out an e-Book on Women in STEM with the following Objectives: -- To recognize and celebrate women in STEM who bring a unique vision and talent to the industry. -- To recognize and encourage contribution of women leaders who are making a difference and taking efforts to advance the cause of women in STEM. Criteria for entry ============= -- Women Active & in India -- With minimum 10 years of experience in academics / research, industry and / or entrepreneurship -- Performers in some niche areas, not commonly pursued by women. -- Sciences that are included in the nomination - Chemistry / Computer Science / Engineering / Geosciences/ Life sciences / Materials / Mathematics / Physics / STEM education & learning research. -- Has made clear contributions to society, risen well in the ranks and been very impactful. Criteria for profiling in the e-Book =========================== -- Uniqueness of area – Disruptive, Niche area, Non-traditional -- Relevant experience - Stayed in STEM field from education to career, Width (number of years) & Depth (achievement in short duration) -- Accomplishments / Awards - No. of awards (National / International), Uniqueness of accomplishment, Patents granted, Research Publication, Affiliations etc -- Thought leadership & mentorship - Work done to promote STEM, Innovative, recognized technical expert -- Impact – Work, Societal, Body of Literature Timelines: ========= -- Call for nominations by 2nd week of December 2020 -- Release of the e-Book by February 2021 Applications to be submitted online.
