The Documentation Research and Training Centre (DRTC), Indian Statistical
Institute, Bangalore, is inviting online applications from highly motivated
students to work as Project associate.

   - *Project title*: "Integrated and Unified Data Model for Publication
   and Sharing of prolonged pandemic data as FAIR Semantic Data: COVID-19 as a
   case study," funded by the Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) from April
   2021 through March 2024.
   - *Qualification*:
      - *Essential*: Master's in Computer Science/ Bioinformatics/ Library
      and Information Science/ Information Science/ Cognitive Science, or
      equivalent in related areas, or, B.E./B.Tech. in Computer Science/
      Biomedical Engineering/ Information Technology, or in related areas. Good
      working experience in Python programming language. Good oral and written
      communication skills in English.
      - *Desirable*: Knowledge in RDF, OWL, and SPARQL, and exposure to
      machine learning will be a plus.
   - *Number of positions*: 01 (One)
   - *Emoluments*: Rs. 30,000.00 (thirty thousand) per month consolidated.
   - *Tenure of Appointment*: The appointment will be for the duration of
   June 2023 to March 2024.
   - *Age*: Should not exceed 35 years as of June 1, 2023, with usual
   relaxation for SC/ST/OBC and differently-abled candidates. Age relaxation
   may be given to outstanding candidates or candidates with relevant
   experience.
