LIS Academy is organising a monthly “LISA-Lecture series” of eminent
personalities. The Speakers of the series will be nationally and
internationally acclaimed academicians and research scientists who used
their Libraries and admire them for their success. The idea of LISA lecture
series is to bring in diverse opinions, expectations, of the policy makers,
Scientists, managers, administrators and educationists about the profession
of librarianship. The eminent LIS leaders will also be among the speakers
to address contemporary trends/issues/technologies related to the LIS
profession, their Innovative initiatives, success stories, best practices
etc. The LISA lecture series will be a best learning platform for LIS
professionals.

Padma Bhushan Prof.P.Balaram DST-YOS Chair Professor, National Centre for
Biological Sciences, Bangalore and Former Director, Indian Institute of
Science, Bangalore has kindly consented to inaugurate the LISA Lecture
Series and deliver his first talk on 14th November 2020 at 10 am to 12 noon
(Being the first day of National Library Week).

Prof. T.D. Kemparaju, Vice Chancellor, Bangalore North University, Kolar;
Former Professor of Library & Information Science, will deliver the
presidential address.
