Dear Professional Friends,

The entire country has been under the Lockdown status due to Covid-19
Pandemic disease. At this juncture, we need to maintain social distance and
stay safe. Due to this lockdown status, Education Institutions are closed,
and the Librarians confined to the empty Libraries and the students to
their houses.
The LIS Academy had earlier announced it's National Conference at the
University of Hyderabad, Hyderabad, from 27-29 August 2020. Unfortunately,
due to the mass spreading of pandemic COVID-19 disease across the country,
the organizers have planned to organize a Virtual Conference from LIS
Academy Studio on the same dates.

Online Virtual LISACON-2020

The LISACON-2020 Conference will now be held in a Virtual Mode operated
from LIS Academy. All the Conference's activities will be web-streamed, and
the paper presenters will be allowed to present their papers from their
places through Video Recording.

The Conference Venue will be created with a studio. Only Plenary speakers
and Panel Members will be invited for their physical presence. However, if
they are unable to attend physically, they can also address their paper
through a webinar. The entire Conference will be held on the scheduled
three days, and every day there will be two sessions. Each session will
consist of 90 minutes with six invited paper presenters and a Plenary
Speaker who will moderate the session.
Papers are invited from the professionals, and the best six papers fitting
to the theme and cleared through the peer review process will be selected
for presentation at the Conference. Accepted Paper Presenters will be
treated as Invited Speakers. They will be paid Rs.2000 towards Cash prize,
free registration, a memento, and a certificate of appreciation.
Plenary Speaker will be paid an honorarium of Rs.5000, a certificate of
appreciation and a Memento.
The selected presenter will have to share his/her PPT. After scrutiny, they
will be asked to create a video for 10 minutes using a zoom platform or any
other platform with HD quality MPEG-4 format videos.

Reinventing Excellence in Librarianship

Excellence is about being the best, striving to be better, and delivering
quality services. Libraries are universally considered as social
institutions, which facilitate acquisition and dissemination of knowledge.
Library professionals are efficiently serving the information needs of
end-users by adopting new tools, techniques, and technologies from time to
time. The advent of digital technologies has brought in disruptive changes
in all spheres of the library. Today's library is less about what we have
for users and more about what we do for users. Librarianship has to
reinvent and reposition itself to achieve excellence. The librarianship
needs to rethink innovative content acquisition models, out of the box
thinking in extending library services, leveraging technologies, and new
modes of reaching the user community. The LISACON-2020 theme "Reinventing
Excellence in Librarianship" will focus on bringing best practices, success
stories, case studies, and innovative research outcomes to a common
platform.

Notification of accepted Papers: 20/06/2020
Submission of Full-length paper:  1/07/2020
 Notification of Acceptance of full-length paper: 10/07/2020
 Submission of camera-ready paper: 24/07/2020
Submission of PPT and 10 Minute video : 5/08/2020

Publication Guidelines:

The authors are requested to submit original papers related to the
conference theme and subthemes. Papers that are not relevant to the scope
of the conference theme and subthemes will be rejected.
The papers aligned to the conference theme and sub-themes will be checked
for Plagiarism / Similarity as per UGC guidelines with 14 words filter by
excluding text in quotes and references. The overall similarity needs to be
within 10%

All selected papers will be double-blind peer-reviewed. The authors will be
requested to submit a camera-ready copy as per the conference template.
Accepted papers will be published in the conference proceedings. The
conference proceedings will be published with ISBN Number.

Presentation Guidelines:

Since the Conference is organized in virtual mode, authors of the accepted
papers are requested to record a video of their presentation for 10
minutes. The organizers will share the backdrop for display on the zoom
platform and are required to use the same. The curated videos will be
consolidated and streamed on the day of the Conference by the session
chairman. All presenters will have to be present as a panelist during their
session.
