Dear Sir/Madam,
Glad to know that LIS-Forum is celebrating its Quadranscentennial year. This forum has helped immensely for our professional understanding of contemporary developments in the field. LIS-Forum unlike other forums remained true its ethos all these years. I wish it will remain the same in the coming days. 
The efforts of late T.B. Rajashekar sir in starting this forum is always laudable and remembered and also the tireless efforts of Dr. Francis Jayakanth in running this forum with all difficulties is highly commendable. Whenever there are some issues in sending the messages to the forum members Dr. Francis jumped in immediately and solved them to make sure that forum members receive and send the messages regularly. 
Have come across at least three research papers on this forum published in different LIS journals and also as Prof. Shalini Urs madam mentioned an MLIS project  has been done at the MyDLIS on LIS forum and its role in professional developments. Potential PhD aspirants can explore this forum as an interesting topic for their doctoral dissertations. 
Though text based discussion forums in a verge of disappear or transforming into web 2.0 platforms, have an advantage of keep them active in a very close-nit circle and run them efficiently without unwanted stuff (misinformation) for which many social media platforms are now familiar. 
Once again thanks to all the stakeholders involved in running this forum successfully for the last 25 years. Hope it completes many such milestones in days to come.
