Dear Members,
NCSI-Net foundation (http://ncsinet.org), a registered trust, comprising of erstwhile NCSI staff, trainees, and alumni, cordially invites you to the 13th Dr. TB Rajashekar Memorial Seminar (2017). This year’s seminar topic is, Electronic Resource Management using CORAL for LIS professionals. It is a one-day seminar targeted for the benefit of Library and Information Science (LIS) students and budding LIS professionals.
The details of the seminar are given below:

About Seminar Theme:
Electronic resource management (ERM) is the practices and techniquesused by librarians and library staff to track the selection, acquisition, licensing, access, maintenance, usage, evaluation, retention, and de-selection of a library's electronic information resources (Wikipedia). Number of proprietary ERM tools is available for the effective management of E-resources, to name few Innovative Interfaces, Serial Solutions, ExLibris etc.
CORAL is an open source electronic resource management system built by the University of Notre Dame’s Hesburgh Libraries.  It is designed tobe both simple and highly customizable – each module can be installedindependently or used together depending on your library’s needs.
Objective of the Seminar:
To demonstrate the basic features of CORAL, Installation and configuration, and various modules.  At the end of the seminar, theparticipants should have a clear understanding of CORAL functionalities.
Resource Persons:
NCSI-Net members who have practical experience in using CORAL andInfographics tools for managing online resources and reporting theusage of online resources, will serve as resource persons
Registration Fee:
Rs. 300 for Students (Should carry ID Card) and Rs. 600 for workingprofessionals, for NCSI-Net members Rs. 250. Fee covers Seminar kit,working lunch and tea / coffee
Please do note that no arrangements for accommodation are being made for outstation participants.
