I am happy to inform you that the 10th Annual conference of Karnataka
health sciences library Association (KHSLA) 2018 will be hosted by Ramaiah
Medical College Bengaluru, on 23rd & 24thFebruary 2018 at the council hall.
All are requested to attend the conference.



About the Conference

Every member feels proud of KHSLA that it is hosting 10th Annual
conference, conducting annual conference continuously since last 10 years
without break, on various current topic of the health science libraries and
librarianship. KHSLA feels that Health Science Librarians have attained a
stage where we can host common platform for cataloguing of all health
science libraries in Karnataka.

                In this open society, libraries have good opportunity to
use open source software, access Open access books and journals, Open
Educational Resources, and MOOCs (Massive Open Online Courses). All these
tools, technologies and content   are providing opportunity for libraries
to establish a common platform to share technology, information resources
and expertise among all health libraries in Karnataka.

              This conference provides a unique opportunity, to brain
storm, and to acquire knowledge about tools, technology, electronic
resources thereby evolve a suitable platform to meet maximum information
needs and easy access to user.

*“LIBRARY - AS AN INFORMATION SERVICE PLATFORM”*



*Sub-themes:*

·   Library technologies platform for health science

·   Library as a publisher

·   Librarian as a publisher

·   Library and open course materials like MOOC, OER

·   Common catalogue  platforms health science libraries in Karnataka

*Submission Guidelines:*

·   Original papers on the theme and sub-themes are invited.

·   The papers have to submit electronically.

·   The paper should consist of the title of the paper, name(s) of the
author/s and their address with an E-mail ID and mobile no.

·   The Abstract should be about 150-200 words followed by at least 05
keywords. All full papers should be prepared in MS Word format, double
spaced, 12 point font size, Times New Roman font not exceeding 3000-5000
words*.*
