Sad demise of a Librarian- Mrs Bindu K- Librarian- Govt. First Grade College- Haleyangady
It is sad to inform to all the library professionals that Mrs Bindu K- Librarian, Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangady- Udupi District- KARNATAKA STATE-INDIA has passed away on 17th March, 2017. She was 46 years. She was the 1992-94 batch MLISc student of Mangalore University. She served for more than 23 years as library professional. Soon after her MLISc she joined as an assistant librarian at Fisheries College, Mangalore. She also served at Fisheries College, Shivmogga Center. She passed her UGC SET and joined Karnataka Govt. Service in the year 2008  as Librarian at Govt. First Grade College, Haleyangady- Udupi district. She was an active member of Dakshina Kannada & Kodagu Library Assiciation and served as an Executive member. She was a very simple, humble, efficient and committed librarian served for the cause of the profession. She is survived by she husband, son and family members and a big band of well wishers and friends. The members of Karnataka State College Librarians Association, Bangalore and Dakshina Kannada & Kodagu Library Association, Mangalore prays Lord for her soul to rest in peace and also to give the strength to their family members and friends to bear the loss and pain
