The INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar is organizing a Three-day National
Workshop on Content Management System Using Drupal from 7th – 9th April,
2014.

*About the workshop*

ICT has brought a revolution in all walks of life. Organising and
disseminating web content is a challenging task for the library and IT
professionals. Integrating various library resource and make it accessible
to the user community is vital to an organisation or information centre.
Several open source software are available to manage the web content in a
static / dynamic way. Drupal is the world’s leading open source Content
Management System (CMS) software. It offers advantage of superior coding
and flexible customisation. Many organisation are using Drupal software for
developing static / highly interactive content management system and
website. The large no of user community spread all over the world to solve
issues and problems with detailed documentation on installation,
configuration and integration of modules. The INFLIBNET Centre is
organising three-day workshop on Content Management System using Drupal
during 7-9 April, 2014 at INFLIBNET Centre, Gandhinagar.

*Objective of the Workshop*

The main objective of this workshop is to enable the participant to develop
content management system or website for their institution or library. The
workshop includes lectures as well as intensive hands-on training, so as to
provide both theoretical base and practical skills to the participants. The
participant will receive a comprehensive overview on how to build a website
or CMS using Drupal including installation, configuration, page layout
design and user management, etc.

*Topic to be covered in the workshop are as follows*

§     Introduction to Content Management System

§     Drupal fundamental and features

§     Basic configuration to know before installing Drupal

§     Drupal installation and configuration

§     Adding modules and features

§     User and Content Management

§     Managing page layouts and themes

§     Multilingual Content

§     Drupal hosting and backup

*Target Participants*

Student interested in CMS & website development, Library and Information
Science Professional, Information Scientists, System Administrator, Content
Developer and other with similar responsibilities. A maximum of 25-30
candidates will be selected for the workshop on First-Come-First-Serve
basis.

*Pre-requisite:* Participants should be conversant with basic ICT
terminologies, should possess basic knowledge and experience with HTML, PHP
and web design will be preferred.
*Duration: Three Days  *
