[LIS-Forum] MILAN at MyDLIS - An Alumni Association Formed

Hello friends,

 MILAN is born!  On the occasion of the inauguration of the golden jubilee
of MyDLIS (Mysore University Department of Library and Information
Science), MILAN (Mysore University Information and Library Science Alumni
Association) was formed to be a platform for the alumni of this illustrious
Department to strengthen their ties for the cause of LIS profession and
professionalism.


 MILAN took birth during the Alumni Meet held as part of the Golden Jubilee
Celebrations of the Department of Studies in Library and Information
Science of the University of Mysore, Mysore held recently.



The Grand Finale of the Golden Jubilee of MyDLIS will be organized in
collaboration with MILAN during June 19-20,2015 (Friday and Saturday.)



Please mark your calendar and plan to be part of the great celebrations of
your Alma Mater. We have chosen a weekend to make it convenient for all of
you!


We have grand plans to make it a professionally meaningful and emotionally
fulfilling day for all our alumni.



We welcome and solicit your ideas!



We will soon be setting up a website (http://www.milan-mysore.org) with
interactive participatory features. You are most welcome to populate and
contribute to the dialogue and debate.



Please join your Alma Mater during its Grand Finale. We don't want to miss
even a single alumnus/alumna on that eventful day. The details of the grand
finale program will be announced in due course.
