Dear Friends,

The following is sent for your kind information. Sorry for cross posting.

According to one of the mails received by me, a new open access/repository
law passed in Argentina. The law requires that the country's Scientific
institutions make their research output openly accessible.

This is the second open access law passed in South America this year, along
with a law that was passed earlier in Peru. It is fantastic news all around
and reflects of the growing worldwide momentum for open access, which is
especially strong right now in Latin America!
