Dear all,

We are glad to inform all of you that as part of the CIARD
Movement<http://www.ciard.net/>
 the Agricultural Information Management Standards (AIMS)
<http://aims.fao.org/>community is
organizing a series of webinars on the theme "*Making Agricultural Research
Information Publicly Available and Accessible"* during Open Access Week
2012. The event is co-sponsored by the Food and Agriculture Organization of
the United Nations (FAO), the Global Forum on Agricultural Research (GFAR),
the Inter-American Institute for Cooperation on Agriculture (IICA) and the
International Association of Agricultural Information Specialists (IAALD).
The webinars will take place from October 23 to 26.

 On October 23, Enrica Porcari and Jean-Claude Guédon will talk about the
experience of CGIAR  <http://www.cgiar.org/>and the status of Open Access
focusing in the agricultural domain respectively. On October 24, Alma Swan
will focus on Open Access policy developments and Wouter Gerritsma will
present the value-added services for the Wageningen Institutional
Repository. On October 25 and 26, the event will consist of three webinars
composed of short presentations on "Promotion of Open Access", "Search
Engines for Open Access Web Resources" and "Digital Repository Development
Use Cases" experiences.
