[LIS-Forum] Call for profiles of the pillars of library profession in India

Dear friends and professional colleagues,

You would be glad to know that the 'Satinder Kaur Ramdev Memorial Trust for
Advancement of Librarianship (SATKAL)' has decided to publish a series of
books on the
*Pillars of Indian Librarianship: A SATKAL Tribute to the library doyens in
India.* It will include the profiles and contributions of the library
doyens who are no more with us (left for their heavenly abode)  but have
made profound contribution to the library profession in India. The first
volume is likeky to be released in November 2012 at the annual function of
the SATKAL in collaboration with the annual conference of the IATLIS.

Kindly browse the list below and suggest the additional names and also the
potential authors who can write about them. The names in bold letters have
already been alloted to the authors. For others you are invited to
contribute the articles.
