[LIS-Forum] Oppose the Research Works Act

Please visit <https://www.popvox.com/bills/us/112/hr3699/report#nation> and add your signature to oppose H.R. 3699 ("To ensure the continued publication and integrity of peer-reviewed research works by the private sector."). The Research Works Act, if passed, will be a great setback for research all over the world and researchers around the world will lose whatever they have gained by what is now available in the open domain (such as the tens of thousands of papers in the PubMed Central collection). The Act will only help commercial publishers make more profits at the cost of researchers and libraries.
