[LIS-Forum] Librarians’ Day Function

Dear Professionals,

I am sure that Librarians will turn up in big number (much more than that of
last year) to the venue of Librarians Day Celebrations  on Aug 12 as
detailed in Lis-Forum Announcement by Dr. Konnur and others. This is the day
we need to show our solidarity to the society and also get maximum attention
of the media so that the image of the profession goes up. It is nice of
organizers KALA, IALA and DPL to felicitate Prof M.A. Gopinath for his life
time contribution to the profession.

I request all of you to kindly give sufficient advertisement for this event
in all possible ways including forwarding the announcement to your
professional friends and also by encouraging your colleagues to participate
in the program.  Being in Munich, Germany till Aug 25th  I can only wish the
program a grand success.
