[LIS-Forum] International Conference on WIS - University of Mysore - OOD Permission to College Librarians

Dear Professional,
As you are aware, the University of Mysore is organising "International
Conference on Webometrics, Informetrics and Sceintometrics" during October
19-22, 2010.  There has been an overwhelming response to the conference.
Delegates from all over India have already registered for the conference.
There will be a conglomeration  of informetricians and bibliometricians from
all over the world.  More than 50 foreign delegates from different parts of
the world are expected to join the conference.

Eugene Garfield, the inventor of Citation Index,  has consented to be
honorary keynote chair.  Alexander Pudovkin, one of the closest associate of
Eugene Garfield will deliver the Keynote.  Papers will be presented by
galaxy of researchers from India and abroad.

Taking cognizance of the significance of the Conference, Department of
Collegiate Education, Government of Karnataka has sanctioned OOD for
librarians during October 19-22, 2010.  A copy of the order is available on
the Conference Website (http://www.collnet-mysore.in).      It is hereby
requested to the library professional to take advantage of this permission
and register themselves for the conference.  For more details visit our
