A walk-in-interview will be conducted on 20 May 2010 at 10.30 A.M. at Indian 
Statistical Institute Library,Kolkata for recruitment of two (2) Project Assistants on 
purely temporary basis to work in the project entitled "Reclassification of books 
under Sociology". 
Qualification: 

Essential: Masters degree in Library & Information Science or its equivalent from a 
recognized University/Institute with consistently good academic record. Knowledge of 
computer applications in library operations. 

Desirable : Familiarity with LibSys. 

Tenure of appointment: The appointment is upto 31 march 2011 which may be extended 

Pay: Rs. 5,000/- per month plus HRA as per ISI rules. 

Age: Should not exceed 35 years as on 01 April 2010 with usual relaxation for 
SC/ST/OBC/Women/Extraordinary candidates. 

Interested candidates are required to bring with them an application addressed to the 
Director, Indian Statistical Institute along with bio-data and original as well as 
photocopies of their certificates.They will have to report at the Office of the 
Library Unit, ISI, 203 B.T.Road, Kolkata 700108, on the day of interview half an hour 
before the time mentioned.
