            The* Indian Institute of Astrophysics*, is an autonomous
research Institute
funded by Government of India, Department of Science & Technology in the
country,
dedicated to carry out research in Astronomy & Astrophysics.
The Institute offers Training in the Library Science including the state- of
-the- art
library techniques and services:

*No. of vacancies* : Two

*Qualification* : Master of Library Science with basic
degree in science (preferable)
(Students who have appeared for final
exam and waiting for results may
also apply)

*Additional qualifications* : Basic knowledge of computer and preferably
working knowledge of any library software
and Open Source software

*Age* : Below 25 years

*Tenure* : 24 Months

*Emoluments* : Rs.16000/- per month (inclusive all)

The trainee programme is not regular employment and does not entitle any
privileges or
benefits of regular employment. It is only a temporary study programme for
imparting training.

along with copies of certificates to the *Administrative Officer, Indian
Institute of
Astrophysics, Koramangala 2nd Block, Bangalore 34* on or before May 25,
2010.
