Answer by: Dharmendra Sachan

1.Many libraries are using RFID Technology. First Library using complete RFID
solutions was Bank of Baroda, Mumbai
2.You can take it as fixed cost and variable cost. Again fixed cost depends
upon the size of the Library. If you have medium library (4-6 staff and 500
users)...the fixed cost will be approximately Rs. 10-12 lacs for hardware, Rs.
2 lacs for software and variable cost for RFID tags would be approximately Rs.
30 per tag (one RFID tag for one book)
3. There are many service provider - today whoever is supply Library Management
Software, are also providing RFID solutions. But, I have a very good experies
with LibSys Corporation, Gurgaon
4. Regarding post sales service...it was found good.
5. Very easy and simple to implement RFID solutions...you can implement
simultaneously while serving to your user
6. RFID is most advanced technology compare to Micro strip,
Electro-Mechanical.....
7. Yes...it depends on which software you are using...regarding this you need
to talk to the vendor....
8. Yes, you will find the defference before and after implementation of RFID
solutions....yes, you will definately save lot of time ...(this system is very
good specially when you have big library and more number users ...I mean
...collection size 30000-50000 and issue / return 500 - 1000 books daily...then
you can find the difference easly...if your issue/return are 100 per day...then
you may not ..
9. There are lot of benefits...just search the web..

You can contact us...if you need more information
