Number of positions
2 (Gen-1, SC/OBC-1)

Duration
Up to march 2011.  The duration will be extended or reduced at the discretion 
of the authorities.


Minimum Qualification
Bachelor of library  and information science under 10+2+3+1  awarded by any 
recognized university, Government of India

                                      or

Diploma in Library & Information Science under 10+2+2 years of study, awarded 
by Department of Technical Education,  Government of  Karnataka.

Or

Job Oriented Course (JOC) in Library & Information Science under 10+2 years of 
study awarded by Directorate of Vocational Education, Government of Karnataka.

The candidates should have secured at least Second Class or equivalent grade 
(Pass Class or equivalent grade in case of  SC/ST candidates)  in BLISc or 
Diploma or  JOC.

Sound knowledge in Library activities and basic knowledge of computers is 
desirable.


Job Description
The selected candidate has to carry out  the routine house keeping activities 
in the library like :

1.	Re-shelving of the used documents
2.	Maintenance of the stack area of the library
3.	Stock verification
4.	any other work assigned from time to time
