POSITION: Research Analyst

LOCATION: Mumbai



RESPONSIBILITIES AND POSITION DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a self-motivated, entry-level Research Analyst to conduct secondary research and analysis in support of the firm's intellectual capital development. The Analyst will be primarily responsible for researching and gathering data on the financial and operational performance of companies across industries (i.e. Insurance, Financial Services, Healthcare, CPG, Transportation) in a format readily accessible for further analysis. As part of the larger Mumbai Knowledge Center, the candidate will perform other tasks as necessary.



Specific responsibilities include:

Conduct secondary research to create detailed Points-of-View (POVs) across various Industry and Service Line topics

Extract and compile financial data and metrics from company filings

Compile and manipulate data in standard formats, such as excel

Contribute to the writing of articles, whitepapers, research reports and blogs



REQUIRED SKILLS & EXPERIENCE

Intellectual curiosity and attention to detail

Familiarity with company financial statements and reporting (particularly in the U.S)

Quantitative and statistical experience

Strong communication skills - oral, written, graphical

Experience with research strategies and online databases, such as Nexis, Factiva, Highline Financial or Compustat/CapitalIQ

Ability to organize, prioritize and plan work schedules in order to meet very tight and short deadlines

Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Programs: PowerPoint, Word, and Excel.

Fluent in written and spoken English

Detail-oriented, with ability to consolidate research results into precise, concise responses

Self-motivated, customer-focused, and able to adapt to changing priorities

Occasional domestic and international travel (to US headquarters) required

Bachelors Degree, preferably in Marketing or Business.

Local candidates only



Desired Skills:

MLS degree or relevant course work/previous company or market research experience

Basic proficiency in statistical applications (preferably SPSS)

Experience in support role within the Consulting industry

Familiarity with IT and business information sources

Experience using Microsoft Office SharePoint

Exposure to Data Visualization tools (i.e. Tableau, Google Motion)



Work Schedule:

The resource will be expected to work from the Diamond office in Mumbai. Typical work hours will be from 9am-6pm; however, flexibility will be required for some short notice deadlines.
