[LIS-Forum] Mr. B.S. Kesavan Birth Centenary

Dear Members

The year 2009 is the birth cenetenary year of late Padmashri B.S. Kesavan (1909-2000), India's first National Librarian, a scholar, linguist, instituion builder and above all a wonderful human being.

The Kesavan Inst. of Information and Knowledge Management plans to bring out a book containing contributions from Mr. Kesavan's former colleagues associates, students and admirers. The book is to be titled, 'Remembering Padmashri B.S. Kesavan: The Man and his Mission'. I had written to several people who I knew were in one way or other associated with Mr. Kesavan. Many have already responded to my call for contributions. 

The purpose of this posting is to make a general request to those who I may not have contacted but who were associated with Mr. Kesavan and would also like to make a written contribution about their association and reminiescences of Mr. Kesavan.

I would be grateful if such contributions can be sent to me latest by end of Sep 2009 preferablly as email attachments.
