Dear Library Professional,
       It gives us pleasure to inform you that DELNET is going to
organise a One-Day Workshop cum Orientation Programme for Libraries in
West Bengal and Other adjoining States in collaboration with Central
Library, Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan, West Bengal on Friday, June 5,
2009 at Visva-Bharati, Santiniketan.

The orientation programme will focus on the DELNET online resources
and services. The library automation aspects, including the overview
of free open source library management software KOHA and DELPLUS
library management software will also be covered. The benefits to
students, teachers, researchers and public through online access to
DELNET resources will be highlighted. We would very much appreciate if
you may kindly attend the programme or depute any other library
professional from your library to attend this programme.

The participation fee is Rs.250/- per participant for DELNET
Member-Institutions and Rs.350/- for Non-Members. No TA/DA will be
provided by DELNET for this purpose. The participation fee can be paid
either in cash (on-the-spot) or through a demand draft, which should
be drawn in favour of DELNET & payable at New Delhi. The host
institution will be glad to arrange accommodation in their University
for delegates on first cum first served basis against payment by the
participants.

Participants are required to report at 9:00 A.M. on June 5, 2009 at
the venue. Programme will be over by 4:30 p.m. on the same day. Please
