National Conference on Traditional Knowledge Systems, Intellectual Property Rights and their Relevance for Sustainable Development
Organized by: National Institute of Science Communication and Information Resources (NISCAIR), CSIR, New Delhi
24-26 November 2008
   
  Call for Papers:
The Abstract, not exceeding 250 words, with title, author(s) and affiliation, typed in Times New Roman (font 12 size and 1.5 line space) on A4 size paper, should be submitted along with PowerPoint presentation (including soft copy) by 31 August 2008 along with Registration Fee. Abstracts will be reviewed by the Scientific Programme Committee for selection for oral/poster presentation. Manuscript of the Full Paper to be presented is to be submitted by 15 October 2008. 
   
  Scientific Sessions will cover the following areas
* Traditional Knowledge and Sustainable Development (Ethnobotany, Ethnomedicine, Ethnoveterinary Practices, Ethnofisheries, Traditional Foods & Beverages, Traditional Agriculture, etc.)
* Traditional Knowledge Documentation
* Traditional Cultural Expressions (Folklore)
* Traditional Knowledge Related Biodiversity and Genetic Resources in Developing Countries: Issues of Piracy&Protection
* Traditional Knowledge and Intellectual Property Rights: Impact and Implications
* Assessing Existing Legal Framework
* Bioprospecting based on Traditional Knowledge and Related IPR Issues
* Access and Benefit Sharing
