Workshop on GENISISWEB, WINISIS DATABASE TO GSDL
(18-20 August 2008)
Organized by
Sarada Ranganathan Endowment for Library Science, Bangalore
with
Ranganathan Centre for Information Studies, Bangalore
WORKSHOP OBJECTIVE
To provide intensive training in GENISISWEB and conversion of WINISIS database into GSDL.
WORKSHOP CONTENT
- WINISIS archiving of full text documents in all ordinary formats including a fully downloaded website.
- Creation of web front end with GenisisWeb for making it user-friendly and accessible over a network
- Creation of a CD-ROM library of full text documents
- Conversion of a WINISIS database into GSDL archive
RESOURCE PERSON
K. Rajasekharan, Kerala Institute of Local Administration (KILA), Thrissur, Kerala
The target audience includes librarians, information professionals and others interested in building different types of databases.
WORKSHOP FEE
Sponsored candidates : Rs.3,000/-
Students (to be duly certified by the Head of the Department) : Rs.1500/-
