Dear LIS Students',
Indian Statistical Institute, Kolkata
Admission Notice :Session :2008-2009
Apllications r invited for following programmes
1. 2 Year Master of Science (M.S.) in Lib. & Info.Sc. :- 3 Year
Bachelor's degree in any discipline.The candidate must have secured at
least 60% marks in the Bachelor's degree.Stipend Only Rs. 1,200/- per
month (offered in Bangalore)
2. Junior Research Fellowship in Lib. & Info. Sc. :- A good academic
record with
(i) ADIS from ISI
OR
(ii) AIS from NISCAIR
OR
(iii)Master's degree in Library and Information Science
with at least 55% marks in undergraduate &
postgraduate degree programmes. Fellowship amount Rs. 8,000/- per
month.(offered in Bangalore)
N.B. :- From the last 2 consecutive year M.Lib.I.Sc. student selected
for this JRF.
Generally ISI gives the Syllabus & Model Question for this JRF test on
its Kolkata website, which is www.isical.ac.in
The complete details r available in the prospectus.Selection of
candidates is based on academic record, written tests & interviews
conducted by the institute.
Candidates who r due, to complete their qualifying examinations before
1 July, 2008 may also apply.Price of prospectus Rs. 450/- (Rs. 225/-
