      To support its fast expanding information services network, TCS
invites applications from talented, enthusiastic, team players for its
libraries at Ahmadabad, Chennai, Delhi, Mumbai and Pune.  These are regular
positions and selected candidates should be prepared to work in that
location on a long term basis. The remuneration and benefits will be on par
with the best in industry.

Eligibility Criteria:
1.    M.L.I.S / Masters in (Library Science / Information Science /
Information Management) / ADIS / equivalent degree.
2.    0 – 3 years experience in a academic/ special library.
3.    Age not exceeding 27 years.
4.    Willingness to work in any centre within the city with flexible
timings.
5.    Excellent communication skills.


Application formalities:
Resumes in the prescribed format are to be mailed to
corporate.library at tcs.com, by Wednesday the 10th Sep 2008, mentioning the
subject line as "LIC Recruitment 2008". Candidates will have to clearly
mention to which location (city) they are applying and their choice of
location (city) to take the written test. Application in the prescribed
(one page) format will be enough & no other certificates / documents
required at this stage.

Selection Process:
Short listed candidates will be first put through a written test to be held
simultaneously across India (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi,
Hyderabad, Kolkata, Kochi, Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune & Trivandrum) on Friday
the 19th of Sep 2008. Candidates may choose to take the test in any of
these cities and this need to be clearly indicated in their application. No
travel expenses will be borne by TCS for attending the written test.

Based on their written test performance, select candidates will be called
for personal interview in the following week at respective locations to
which they have applied. Travel cost (return fare) by 2nd class train/bus,
will be reimbursed on production of valid tickets for those attending the
personal interview. Exact dates will be intimated to the candidates
separately.
