Jharkhand Information and Library Association is conduction national conference on " Public Libraries & Information Services: Challenges & Prospects in Jharkhand" on 13th -14th September 2008 at Rajendra Institute of Medical Science, Nightingale Auditorium, Ranchi 834009
 
Papers are invited for the following theme.
Role of public libraries in Socio-economic development
Status of public libraries in Jharkhand vis-a-vis national scenario
Community information centers for information bridging
Library users and their changing information needs
Information literacy a life-long learning
Careers in library and information science
Career guidance and information services, outreach activities/extension services.
Use of ICT in organizing/ accessing information needs
 
The papers in MS Word format should reach JILA office latest by 30th August 2008 through snail mail or e-mail jila05092007 at yahoo.co.in

Individual non members Rs. 800
Students Rs. 300
Retired Persons Rs. 500
