candidates for the following Awards for the year 2007

1. AutoLib-Tamilnadu BEST Librarian Award

2. AutoLib-Tamilnadu BEST Young Librarian Award (below
40 years)

About the Award: 

SALIS has instituted Best Librarian Awards sponsored
by M/s AutoLib Software Systems, Chennai

The main aim of the award is to identify two
professionals in Tamilnadu every year who contributes
more to our profession 
and recognize him/her every year.


Eligibility Criteria: 

1.    Applicant/Nominee should be a citizen of India
and his/her conduct must be good. 

2.    The applicant should be a working library
professional in Tamilnadu who holds at least Bachelors
 degree in library science or its equivalent. 

3.    Interested professionals should apply in the
prescribed application form only 

4.    Nomination can be self or  by a  responsible
library professional           

5.    Give full details for each category and attach
support documents for verification 

6.     Enclose separate sheets wherever necessary to
give details 

7.     Applications without full details and support
documents will be rejected 

8.    The application form can be downloaded from 
        SALIS website http://autolib-india.net/salis
or can be obtained
       by  e-mail to salis_info at yahoo.co.in 

9.     Filled application should reach the office on
or before 30.6.2007

10.  The decision of the committee constituted by
SALIS to select the candidate for the award is final. 

11.     Award Committee has the right to post-pone or
cancel the award for any unavoidable reason. 

12.	All correspondence should be addressed to the

 Library professionals working in Tamilnadu only can
apply for the awards  


Other Information

1.	The award may be presented to the awardee 10th Aug
2007 at the inaugural function of  SALIS 2007 National
Conference at Anna University, Chennai
2.	A silver shield and a Citation will be awarded.
