(LICs) offer a wide range of information services in alignment with the
global business needs.

To support its fast expanding information services network, TCS invites
applications from talented, enthusiastic, team players for 20 regular
positions of LIC officers at Mumbai, Delhi, Bangalore, Chennai, Kolkata,
and Trivandrum.

Eligibility Criteria:
1. M.L.I.S / Masters in (Library Science / Information Science /
Information Management) / ADIS / equivalent, preferably with first class in
10th,12th, graduation & post graduation
2. 0 – 3 years experience, preferably in an academic/ special library.
3. IT skills / exposure to information work will be an added advantage
4. Willingness to work in any centre within the city with flexible timings.
5. Excellent communication skills.
6. Age not exceeding 27 years.
Application formalities:
Resumes in the prescribed format may be mailed to
corporate.library at tcs.com, before 27th July 2007, indicating the subject as
"LIC Recruitment 2007". Candidates will have to clearly mention the
preferred location (city) they are applying for and their choice of
location (city) for the written test. Candidates who have attended the
written test at TCS Hyderabad in May 2007 need not apply. Application to be
sent in the prescribed format only & certificates / documents need not be
attached

Selection Process:
A written test for the short listed candidates will be held simultaneously
across India (Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Chennai, Delhi, Hyderabad, Kolkata,
Lucknow, Mumbai, Pune & Trivandrum) on Friday the 3rd of Aug 2007.

Selected candidates from the written test will be called for a personal
interview in the following week at respective locations. Travel cost
(return fare) by 2nd class train/bus, will be reimbursed on production of
valid tickets for those attending the personal interview. Exact date for
the personal interview will be mailed.
