There is a new approach in revising AACR2 Rules.
To incorporate the online envirnement, the new
Code will be know as "RDA:Resource Description
and Access".

Present AACR2 has only "Description" part, ie
describing an item. New code will have an added
part "Access", ie access control of an item. FRBR
is the basis for Part A (Description) of RDA, and
FRAD is the basis for Part B (Access Point
Control).

As per the schedule made by Joint Steering
Committee, it will be published in 2009.
