Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts With Full Text From EBSCO When EBSCO Publishing (EBSCO) released Library, Information Science & Technology Abstracts(tm) (LISTA), and made it available free to everyone, the response and subsequent use was extraordinary, says the company. Now, EBSCO has introduced LISTA with Full Text.

While the index-only version of LISTA will continue to be made available free of charge to all interested users at www.libraryresearch.com, LISTA with Full Text is made available for an additional annual subscription cost.

LISTA with Full Text provides users with the same comprehensive indexing found in LISTA including more than 600 periodicals, plus books, research reports and proceedings. In addition, the full text of more than 100 titles is provided. Subject coverage includes librarianship, classification, cataloging, bibliometrics, online information retrieval, information
management and more. Coverage in the database extends back as far as the mid-1960s.

Typically, the cost of a full-text database takes into account the value of the index itself as well as the full-text information included. LISTA with Full Text, however, is a special circumstance where the index (without full
text) is provided free of charge to any interested library or individual. As such, the full-text version is provided at a lower rate than it would be otherwise. In essence, customers subscribing to LISTA with Full text pay only for the full text attribute.

EBSCO Publishing's intention is to provide access to the index-only version of LISTA on a continual basis at www.libraryresearch.com. Customers currently subscribing to other EBSCOhost(r) databases may elect to have LISTA added to their EBSCOhost profile.

EBSCO Publishing is part of the EBSCO Information Services group. EBSCO Information Services provides libraries and research centers with online and print journal subscription services, e-resource access and management services, full-text and secondary database development and access, an OpenURL-compliant link resolver, online book purchasing and related
information services. EBSCO maintains a title database of more than 300,000 title listings and upholds relationships with more than 78,000 publishers around the world. EBSCO's 32 Regional Offices worldwide are staffed with personnel who speak the local language and understand the particular challenges faced by librarians in their areas, offering a uniquely personal
level of service. Specialized divisions serve academic, biomedical, government, public, school and special libraries as well as corporations.
