Here is an intresting news.

"Siemens and Yahoo! are teaming up to bring Yahoo! Messenger with Voice to 
Siemens Gigaset cordless phones".

Under the agreement, Siemens will offer a USB adapter that will let users 
make and receive calls through the free calling features of Yahoo! Messenger 
with Voice, and also to make calls to fixed phone lines through the Yahoo! 
Phone In and Phone Out premium services.

The adapter promises to allow users to access their Yahoo! Messenger 
friends' lists, view contacts and presence status, and change their presence 
status from the Siemens phone.

"While Siemens provides the plug-and-play cordless phone devices, Yahoo! 
delivers the 'killer-app' communication features that make in-home IP 
attractive to customers," said Martin Kinne, CEO of Siemens Home and Office 
Communication Devices.

The Gigaset M34 USB adapter will be compatible with Gigaset cordless phones 
introduced after 2004 and should be available by the third quarter of this 
year.
