R&D experts today in industry, academia and government need cutting
edge information resources and tools to enhance their efficiency. 
Academic and research institutions offering technology & research
programs are thus preparing to increase their R&D focus by providing

Focusing on this need, EDUTECH and CSA are conducting a seminar on
Enhancing Research Through Usage of CSA Technology & Databases  for
research institutions and companies engaged in research.

Speakers:
Mr Joe Threlfall  of Cambridge Scientific Abstracts (CSA), UK will
talk about the technologies and research databases available in the
areas of  natural sciences, arts & humanities, social sciences and
technology research that serve as a guide to researchers to help them
be more effective in their work.

Dr. A. Aruna, Head of TIC & Library, GTRE, Bangalore will also share
her views on best practices in utilizing research information.


Seminar in Chennai

Mr Joe Threlfall of CSA will also talk about the 'Role of Electronic
Databases in R&D Excellence' at the presentation being organized by
EDUTECH and Central Library, IIT Madras.

Venue: Media Resource Center, Central Library, IIT Madras
Date: 17th March 2006
Time: 3.30  pm – 5.30 pm.
