[LIS-Forum] Necessity of Accession Register in Digital Era

Dear Sir/ Madam,
   
  In this Digital Era, is there any necessity of the Accession Register. Because, if the Library is fully computerized, then we  can get all the information in a fraction of second. Now my doubt is-  Is there any necessity of Accession Register  for the computerized Library OR  Is it waste of time and energy to write all the information in the Accession Register?
